A freedom of information request submitted by the Chronicle revealed 126 premises in the Hounslow area received the lowest ratings of either 0 or 1 when inspected in the last year.
Borough council snoops found Hounslow to be the worst town, with 38 restaurants and take-away houses deemed "not broadly compliant".

The Anthony Nolan Trust and a Chiswick resident have launched an appeal for bone marrow donors to come forward to save lives.

Anne O'Farrel has supported the trust for over 30 years and set about organising a recruitment clinic, after hearing the sdhocking news that 16,000 patients are deperately in need of finding that life saving bone marrow donor.

A 23-year-old Chiswick cancer survivor received a standing ovation at the Manchester Labour Conference after telling how the NHS saved his life.

Mike-in-clinic.jpgEagle-eyed weightlifting fans may catch a glimpse of Chiswick doctor Michael Irani at the upcoming Olympic games as he is flying out to Beijing to keep a medical eye on the muscly teams.

The consultant rheumatologist, who works at Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals, has been invited by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) and International Olympic Committee (IOC), to attend the games in China as an official doctor.

Give blood

National Blood Service nurses are hoping plenty of residents will head over Chiswick Town Hall, in Heathfield Terrace, today to donate.

They will be collecting blood at two sessions, from 12.45-3.30pm, and from 5-7.15pm and all donors aged over 18 are welcome.

Cllr Fisher with residentOlder people living in a Chiswick Care Home have benefited from a range of improvements thanks to receiving a chunk of a £175,000 grant.

The department of Health grant was split across 16 care homes, with each home receiving a cut relative to how many residents lived there. They included Maryville Care Home in Brentford and St Mary's Convent and Nursing Home in Chiswick.

Justin Dmochowski, a pupil at Belmont Primary School, Chiswick, was one of 30 patients from Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital invited to the race as F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone's guests.
