A Chiswick man is holding a 24-hour-darts marathon to raise money for a cancer charity close to his heart.

John Bryant, 54, of Barrowgate Road in Chiswick, is inviting locals to support darts players in their efforts to raise money for Maggies Cancer Centre in Charing Cross Hospital.

A Chiswick office development last week hosted its free annual fireworks display with members of the public joining in.

Chiswick High Road Fire

More than 20 fire fighters tackled a blaze on Chiswick High Road for more than three hours on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire broke out at the back of Zizzi's restaurant at 2.34pm with approximately half of the ground floor store room being damaged and around 30 per cent of ducting from the ground to the fourth floors.

Two choirs from places of worship in Chiswick will be taking part in an exciting and unusual concert on Saturday 21 November. The groups, from St Michael's Sutton Court, Elmwood Road and the Russian Orthodox Church in Harvard Road are presenting music as heard in worship in 'Music from the Faiths'. Other contributions will include a Catholic youth group, Sikh, Hindu and Jewish music, plus the Muslim call to prayer and Quaker silence.
