Chiswick Park workers take to the sky

OFFICE workers at Chiswick Park enjoyed lunch with a difference on Friday, August 21 forsaking the customary 'sandwich at the desk' for a chance to face their fears and explore their limits.

Guests at Chiswick Park were given an opportunity to tackle their most prevalent phobias including fear of heights, speaking, confined spaces, snakes, and spiders.

For office workers who were brave enough to take to the sky and show a head for heights, a giant adrenaline ride called 'Speed Buzz' propelled them hundreds of feet into the sky.

The Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work team also brought animals such as snakes and spiders, with their professional handlers to help people conquer their nerves of creepy crawlies and other slippery customers in the animal kingdom.

Those willing to put their anxieties of confined spaces to the test, could try their luck at wrestling themselves out of a straight jacket; and there was also a 'speakers corner' with a professional speech coach on hand to help any of the guests with verbal communication problems.

This was part of a series of events organised throughout the summer by Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work to encourage team-building and motivation in the workplace, helping to create a sense of community across the park and among neighbouring residents and businesses.

We'd like to hear from you.
