TRIBUTES are pouring in for the much loved Chiswick priest who died in a car crash on Friday.
Father Edward Houghton, fondly recognised as 'father Ed', a priest at the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady Grace and St. Edward on Chiswick High Road, was on his way to his aunt's funeral when he was involved in a car crash in North Yorkshire.
OFFICE workers at Chiswick Park enjoyed lunch with a difference on Friday, August 21 forsaking the customary 'sandwich at the desk' for a chance to face their fears and explore their limits.
Guests at Chiswick Park were given an opportunity to tackle their most prevalent phobias including fear of heights, speaking, confined spaces, snakes, and spiders.
CHISWICK Park which provides a workplace for almost 5,000 people, will now power all its vehicles on biodiesel made from recycled waste vegetable oil used by restaurants and cafes based on the Park.
The waste oil from restaurants and food outlets at the Park will be taken to the 'Uptown Oil' refinery where it will be purified, filtered and refined, and ready to use in its diesel vehicles which help keep the 1.5 million sq ft office park clean and maintained across its 10 office buildings and surrounding landscaped gardens, lake and boardwalks.
CHISWICK resident Berkeley Gaunt of Berkeley Fine Foods has won a Fuller's Hampshire 'Chutney Challenge' competition to produce a new chutney using one of Fuller's beers as a key ingredient.
The competition was open to Hampshire Fare producers across the county, and was held during the recent Hampshire Food Festival. Berkeley's kitchens are located in Emsworth, Hampshire.
Chiswick Park are warming up for the 2012 Olympics with an afternoon of sporting fun.
Tomorrow lunchtime guests are invited to visit the Chiswick High Road office park and take part in fencing, curling, handball, rowing and bobsled physical tests.
THIS Friday,August 7 at Chiswick Park they will be warming up for 2012 Olympics with an afternoon of sporting fun.
There is now officially less than three years to go until the big event, and guests at Chiswick Park are invited to compete to win medals and prizes in fencing, curling, handball, rowing, and bobsled physical tests.
Also at the Events Plaza, will be representatives from the Great Britain rowing, bobsled and handball teams to meet guests and members of the local community, to discuss their respective sports and be on hand to answer questions.
The event will take place from 12-2pm, at Chiswick Park, 566 Chiswick High Road, London W4 5AA..
