Sikhism, a way of life
Sikhs have been living in the borough for over 35 years and the gleaming towers of the Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha are now a well-known part of the skyline of Hounslow.
On Thursday 5th February there is a chance to hear about the history, principles and every day practices of Sikhism at the Gurdwara in Alice Way, Hounslow TW3 3UA.
The event, part of a series of talks arranged by Hounslow Friends of Faith, (HFOF) starts at 6.30 with a vegetarian meal. The talks by members of the Sikh community follow at 7.15. There will be an opportunity for questions and to see round the building.
President of the Gurdwara Jagjiwan Singh said: "Sikhs have a tradition of service and hospitality and we are very pleased to welcome everyone to this event."
HFOF Secretary Bessie White added: "This is a wonderful opportunity for people from all parts of the borough to meet their neighbours and get to know them."
