New Dukes Meadows children centre
A new children's centre is to open on the site of a Chiswick Primary School.
The Dukes Meadows Children Centre will open on December 10, as not just a community building, but also a hub which can provide information on all Universal Services availiable for the under fives, within wallking distance from the centre itself.
Opening as part of Cavendish Primary School in Edensor Road, Chiswick, the centre will offer support advice and help when needed, with Riverside Day Nursery providing full time and part time playgroup sessions.
There are also plans for a surgery session with the local community police and the NCMA are hoping to hold drop in sessions for their childminders, which will include on going support for them in their profession.
Liz Gears, children's centre co-ordinator for Brentford and Dukes Meadows said: "Children's Centres are about having joined up services that communicate well with each other at a local basis, supporting families, parents & children of the under fives and this is what we believe the Dukes Meadows Community Centre will offer our local community."
