Kew Bridge road chaos
Major road works on the North side of Kew Bridge due to gas repairs signal traffic chaos.
Gas company Transco will begin undertaking works to repair a gas leak on the North Side of Kew Bridge on Monday November 17 from 10am.
The works will be carried out at the traffic signal junction of the A315 Kew Bridge road and the A205 Kew Bridge
The work may extend until Sunday 23rd November.
The location of the repairs will mean closing off the right-turn from the A315 Kew Bridge Road onto the A205 southbound, and narrowing the southbound traffic approaching the bridge to one lane.
Traffic heading towards the junction from Brentford and wishing to turn right to enter Strand-on-the-Green or travel south over Kew Bridge will be diverted up to and around Chiswick Roundabout.
Advance warning will be given on message signs on the A4, M4 and on the A316 and the traffic signals, both at the junction and at the Chiswick Roundabout, will be monitored and timings adjusted to maximise traffic flows.
However major delays to traffic can be expected in this area and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes where possible.
