Wildflower garden opening

Dukes Meadows' Wildflower Garden is to be formally opened this week by actor Richard Briers.

The project was led by Dukes Meadows Trust with financial assistance from The Big Lottery Breathing Spaces fund and with material and equipment donated by Barratt Homes and the help of the volunteers and the children from local schools.

On Thursday (October 9), Richard Briers will formally open the garden by unveiling the information board featuring the descriptions of the wildlife.

The garden was created to improve biodiversity in the area and re landscape the old paddling pools, which were derelict.
