Grove Park harvest festival

Posted by Jessica Thomas on Oct 22, 08 01:00 PM in Schools/colleges

harvest-festival.jpgChildren from a Chiswick school created their own supermarket to raise money for the homeless.

Parents from Grove Park Primary School in Nightingale Close, Chiswick, visited the pupils' supermarket on October 17, with all the money spent being donated to The Upper Room in Sheperds Bush.

The Upper room is a Drop-in centre for homeless people, those who are isolated, lonely or marginalised and ex-offenders, providing free meals and training.

Head mistress Mrs Marian Lee, said: "Although we haven't counted up the money yet, we are delighted with how the bring and buy sale went and hope our money is of help to the charity."
