Knife-wielding robber takes cigarettes

Posted by Robert Cumber on Sep 30, 08 10:51 PM in Crime

A knife-wielding robber forced a shopkeeper to empty his till before clearing the shelves of cigarettes.

The thief walked up to the counter of Vetry's Convenience Store in Fauconberg Road, Chiswick, last Wednesday (24) at about 9.30pm and pulled out a six-inch black-handled kitchen knife.

He ordered the victim to put his loot in a carrier bag and walked off down Grove Park Terrace.

The robber is described as white, 5ft8 and aged about 22. He was wearing black trousers and a grey Nike hoodie with a stripe across the chest.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hounslow CID on 020 8247 6160 or Crimestoppers, free and anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
